Account Activity

For administration review, we record signed-in navigation, dashboard areas, material opens, media activity, estimated foreground time, and approximate network location. Device, operating system and browser descriptions are inferred from request headers and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Each person’s record is separate and viewable by the authenticated owner. Activity records do not prove attendance or learning. This tracker does not capture passwords, PINs, typed messages, identity numbers, or document contents.

Optional Device Location

We explain the use before asking your browser for permission. If you allow it, we receive browser-reported coordinates and accuracy, round coordinates to approximately one kilometer, and encrypt them for private live-location display and account review. Samples are limited to about one per minute while your page is visible. Device-location samples are retained for up to 30 days and then excluded from access; expired stored samples are deleted on the next location update or owner review. No visitor device coordinates are uploaded or retained. Declining or revoking permission disables live device-location functionality, while login, membership, courses, messages and general website access remain available. Approximate network locations remain separate. You can stop sharing using Location And Privacy, or revoke permission in your browser/device settings.

Cookies And Preferences

Necessary first-party cookies support signed-in sessions, security challenges, interface preferences and location notice choices across this website’s pages. Authentication cookies are Secure, HttpOnly and scoped to the website. The jp_location_notice preference cookie is Secure, SameSite=Lax and expires after 30 days; it contains only a notice choice and does not grant browser permission. Existing language/interface settings may also use browser storage. Cookies do not make permission decisions or provide GPS location. Browsers control whether cookies are accepted; blocking necessary session cookies can prevent sign-in. No new advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are introduced by this feature.

Records And Access

Account activity, device summaries and associated account records are retained as part of account history. Some activity before tracking began was never captured and cannot be reconstructed. Records are protected by authenticated server-side access controls, and private responses are not publicly cached.
